So the dragon fruit sat in the fridge for few days waiting for me to get back to it. I sliced into it and couldn't believe my eyes. It was so white and so fuchsia. I love all those little black seeds. I actually think this photo is a little on the orange side, but you get the idea. The white fruit has the texture of a kiwi, but the flavor is sweeter.

With still-lifes you sometimes get to eat what you paint. I hadn't thought of that. Maybe I'll try it sometime -- pie, yes! I do like the vibrant colors and the darker background. The shadow to the left is very good. It starts out darkest near the object and then gets lighter toward the light. Very nice. How'd you have time to paint when your Son was coming home???
ReplyDeleteThe other left. I'm sorry. The shadow I was referring to is to the right of the fruit. Dumb!!! I think I'll go cauterize my brain with TV. I'd gulb green stuff if I had any.
